A replica camera obscura I made for the "Fixated" exhibition at Puke Ariki. These were used pre-photography as an aid to artists. An image is projected onto a ground glass screen and traced on paper to provide perspective for artists to then use when painting a scene. Made from walnut and NZ rimu wood. I have since donated this to the museum.
