Half - plate ferrotype at the Buffalo Days shoot near Dubois WY 2006. Note the unusual marks which appear on the nearest lodge. Will Dunniway and I scratched our heads over these, but finally came to the conclusion that the paint I'd used on the inside of the plate holder was reacting with the collodion in the high temperatures we were experiencing and creating these marks.This was the first image I'd made since building the camera and the problem was fixed by coating the interior of the holder with collodion....
